Colette Modular Microphones - US Stereo Sets Modular "Colette" Microphones consist of the combination of two basic units - the microphone capsule and amplifier.  The number of possible combinations is quite large - there are 20 types of mic capsule and 6 basic types of amplifier, some of which have further special versions available.  With a few exceptions, any type of capsule can be used with any type of amplifier. Included with Stereo Sets: Microphone bodies, Capsules and Accessories, Specify nickel or matte gray finish in comments when ordering.  Stereo Sets comprise our most popular amplifier and capsule combinations with accessories in a custom wooden case.  Amplifier bodies are sequential serial numbered and the capsules are factory matched for frequency response and sensitivity.  (Note: No capsule matching on CMC6 M/S)

Colette Modular Microphone System - Accessories
 

CCM Compact Microphones
The CCM represents the logical next step in the miniaturization of classic condenser microphone technology without any compromise in quality.  The capsules are identical to the cooresponding Colette models, while the amplifiers follow the same circuit principles as CMC amplifiers, with low-impedance balanced output circuitry that allows the use of microphone cables up to hundreds of feet long without interference.

The capsule and amplifier of a CCM ("Compact Condenser Microphone") form a single unit.  In one type of CCM the output cable is detachable, but the capsules and amplifiers cannot be interchanged like those of the Colette Modular System.

There are two basic versions:

The CCM-L, the standard version with thin, detachable cable
The CCM-U, a slightly smaller version with a more robust, permanently attached cable.
